Timeless architecture in an enchanting place

Between wild granite formations, small bays and green macchia lies Villa Casa Mia in the enchanting village of Porto Rafael, famous for its unique architectural style, whose white villas nestle harmoniously into the landscape in organic shapes. Villa Casa Mia is typical of Porto Rafael´s architecture and is 350 metres from the nearest sandy beach. The villa offers a magnificent view of the sea and the offshore islands of the La Maddalena archipelago.

Mediterranean elegance close to the beach

The special feature of the architecture of Villa Casa Mia are the round shapes and curved lines: right angles, corners and edges are largely dispensed with, and the all-white walls elegantly flow around the spaces, creating individual shapes for each room. Typical local materials such as stone and wood are skilfully integrated into the artistic construction, creating a unique Mediterranean atmosphere.

Villa Casa Mia has 3 bedrooms for up to 7 people - two bedrooms are equipped with a double bed and one with a double and an additional single bed. All three bedrooms are air-conditioned. There are two bathrooms: one with a shower, the other with a bathtub-shower combination.

The villa´s large living room offers a dining table for 8 people, a separate small bar area and several seating areas. One of these seating areas is grouped around an indoor fireplace. The kitchen is equipped with a gas cooker, oven, refrigerator, freezer and dishwasher. Villa Casa Mia has its own DSL line with Wi-Fi for fast and stable internet.

In the outdoor areas there are two covered terraces. One of the terraces is equipped with a large dining table and is ideal for sharing meals and happy evenings with the whole family. An external staircase leads up to a roof terrace - if you like, you can make yourself comfortable up here and enjoy the view over the sea and the offshore La Maddalena archipelago.

Villa Casa Mia is surrounded by a plot of about 1,000 square metres, partly with lawns and partly natural with trees and Mediterranean plants. Here you can enjoy the wild and romantic nature and the wonderful tranquillity. A covered private parking space is available on the property.

The centre of Porto Rafael can be reached on foot in 4-5 minutes. The beach "Spiaggia di Nelson" is about 4 minutes away on foot, other bays with beaches can also be reached on foot.

Porto Rafael

Porto Rafael was founded in 1959 by the Spanish count and artist Rafael Neville, whose vision of a symbiosis of architecture and nature gave rise to one of the most beautiful coastal resorts in the Mediterranean. Today, Porto Rafael is both a sophisticated attraction for the international jet set and a popular holiday destination for families.

In the centre of Porto Rafael, the famous Piazzetta is the meeting point of the village - in addition to a restaurant, there are boutiques, a bar, a grocery shop and, of course, the exclusive marina. All around the centre and along the numerous bays with crystal clear water are the beautiful villas on the hills. Hotels and holiday resorts for mass tourism are not to be found in Porto Rafael, and so the village offers a unique charm which fully accentuates the beauty of the landscape.

The owner´s family has been involved in the development of Porto Rafael from the beginning and Villa Casa Mia is one of the first villas built in Porto Rafael.

The surroundings

Scenically, the area around Porto Rafael is an absolute highlight. Numerous beaches and bays lie in the surrounding area, wind-sculpted granite rocks and macchia dominate the hills in the hinterland. The beach of Porto Pollo, an internationally known hotspot for surfers and kiters, is about 7 km away. Dog owners will find an official dog beach about 5 km from Villa Casa Mia.

Particularly impressive is the La Maddalena archipelago, which lies just off the coast of Porto Rafael: a group of islands with spectacular rocky landscapes, turquoise blue sea and true dream beaches. Boat trips to the islands can be taken from Porto Rafael´s marina.

The larger town of Palau is 3 km away, where you will find supermarkets, bars and restaurants open all year round. Car ferries run daily from the port in Palau to the island of La Maddalena.

The town of Porto Cervo, in the heart of the famous Costa Smeralda, is about 30 km away. In addition to the beautiful scenery, the Costa Smeralda is also known for its nightlife - during the summer months, the bars and discos are a stomping ground for stars and starlets.

25km to the north, the rocky peninsula of Capo Testa and the lively town of Santa Teresa di Gallura are well worth a visit. Day trips to Corsica can be made from Santa Teresa.
