Villa Gilda is located in the southwest of Sardinia, away from the usual tourist tracks, with a private pool in the middle of a beautiful garden. At the pool and on the spacious terrace areas of the villa you can enjoy the peace and nature surrounded by pine trees and palm trees. The bay of Nora with its sandy beach and the famous Roman archaeological site is only 1.7 km away. Many other beautiful beaches are in the surrounding area. The lively town of Pula with many restaurants and supermarkets can be reached on foot.
Villa Gilda is owned by a Sardinian family from Cagliari, who put their heart and soul into the care of the villa and the well-being of the guests, so that you can experience the famous Sardinian hospitality for yourself.
The villa consists of a main house and two apartments, which are rented separately. The apartments have their own entrance and garden on the opposite side of the building and their guests have neither access to nor a view of the garden or the pool of Villa Gilda, so that privacy is not disturbed in any way. If required, the main house can be rented together with one of the apartments.
The main house has two bedrooms for a maximum of 4-5 persons and 2 bathrooms. One bedroom is equipped with a double bed and has its own bathroom. The second bedroom has two single beds, which can optionally be converted into a double bed. A third bed can be added for an extra charge. Both bedrooms are air-conditioned and each has direct garden access.
A large room in the centre of the house serves as an open-plan kitchen/living room: in the living area, a comfortable sofa and seating are grouped around a large indoor fireplace. Villa Gilda is furnished in typical Mediterranean style. The kitchen area is very well equipped with a cooker, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer and many household appliances.
The special highlight of Villa Gilda is the beautiful outdoor area of the approximately 2000 sqm property with private pool: the garden resembles a park, with old trees and well-kept lawns. Colourful flowers bloom everywhere and exude their beguiling fragrance. So you can find relaxation in contact with the wonderful nature, whether bathing in the pool, taking a nap in the shade of an olive tree or enjoying a family evening together on the villa´s terrace areas.
The side terrace of the house is covered, while in the front terrace area large sunshades provide shade during the day and the twinkling stars of the south stretch out above you in the evening. There is plenty of seating and dining tables on the terraces and a large brick barbecue with work surface and sink complete the terrace facilities. An external staircase leads up to a roof terrace from which the view sweeps over the garden and pool.
The south-west is one of the most beautiful areas of Sardinia and offers untouched nature and fantastic beaches - several beaches are about 1.5 - 3 km away from the house. It takes about 20 minutes by car to reach the beaches of Chia, which are among the best in the entire Mediterranean: white sand, juniper-covered dunes up to 30 metres high and a Caribbean blue sea.
The lively town of Pula can be reached on foot from the house. Street cafés, fashion boutiques and small shops invite you to stroll in the evening in the pedestrian zone and around the central piazza of the town. From a culinary point of view, Pula also offers a lot of variety: there are numerous recommendable restaurants, good grocery shops and a weekly market where excellent locally produced products are sold. In the area around Pula, you can often buy local produce directly from the farmer.
Cultural highlight of the area around Pula: on a peninsula lies the excavation site of the ancient port city of Nora, founded in the 9th century BC, which is worth seeing and can be reached by car in 4 minutes from the house. Directly adjacent to the excavation site is a nature park in a lagoon area where many plants and animals can be observed. Guided tours through the park are offered, including a visit to the attached rescue station for sea turtles.
Cagliari, with the flair of a southern harbour town, its winding alleys and countless boutiques, can be reached by car in half an hour. The renowned 27-hole golf course of Is Molas is about 6 km away.

In addition to the rental prices listed below, a one-time fee of € 250 for final cleaning is payable for this property.

Arrival and departure
The property is rented by the week, with arrival and departure usually on Saturdays (arrival 5:00 pm/departure 10:00 am). Depending on your flight or ferry connections, we may in some cases be able to arrange for you to arrive or depart on a different day.
For late arrivals between 20:00 and 23:00 a fee of 50 € will be charged.
The final cleaning is charged at 250 euros per stay. All other potential costs such as consumption, bed linen, towels, etc. are included in the rental price. For stays of at least 2 weeks, the bed linen is changed weekly free of charge.

A deposit has to be made for the case of any damage that may occur. The amount for this property is Euro 300. The deposit will be refunded after your departure except in cases of significant damage to the house.
The payment generally is made by bank transfer. For an extra charge of 1% on the total amount of the booking the payment can also be made by credit card or paypal. Please send us an e-mail if you want to pay by credit card.
A down payment of 30% of the total amount of the booking has to be made within one week after booking. The remaining sum has to be paid until 8 weeks prior to departure.
