The garden borders on the beach

Just walk over the lawn in front of Villa Lu Postu Ferula and you find yourself standing on a small sandy beach in the bay of Arzachena, which winds like a fjord into the famous coastal landscape of the Costa Smeralda. Only 9 villas are located on the 12-hectare estate of Lu Postu, which is the only access to the small beach. So even in summer there are normally only the residents and guests of Lu Postu at this beach. From the villa there is a marvellous view over the bay and the village of Cannigione with its romantic marina at the feet of the granite hills of the Costa Smeralda.There is another beach at the end of the bay which is also only about 90 meters from the villa. This is one of the very few beaches in Sardinia where dogs can be brought along during the season - this is generally prohibited on the beaches of Sardinia. Therefore, Villa Lu Postu Ferula is also ideal for travelling with dog.

Villa Lu Postu Ferula is the beach house of an Italian family and was completely renovated in 2016/2017. The modern and bright décor in the maritime style immediately provides you with a holiday feeling.

The villa has two bathrooms and four bedrooms for up to 8 people - one of the bedrooms has a bunk bed with a single mattress below and a 1.40 m wide mattress on top which can accommodate a maximum of two younger children.

When we took the photos for our website the renovation was not finished yet: the rear terrace has been completely closed with a glass front afterwards and there is now the fourth bedroom. The terrace facing the sea was roofed so now you can sit on the front terrace comfortably in the shade during the day and enjoy the beautiful view of the bay.

A large glass front leads from the terrace into the living room and so the view can also be admired from the inside of the villa. The living room is not only equipped with a sofa and a dining table, but also with a modern pellet stove. Therefore the villa is perfectly suitable for the cooler pre-season as well whereas an air condition ensures pleasant freshness during the hot summer months. The kitchen has a large fridge, stove, oven and a dishwasher.

Villa Lu Postu Ferula is surrounded by a well-tended garden with palm trees, pine trees and Mediterranean “Macchia”. The lawn around the house extends to the beach, and so it is only a few steps over the soft grass to go for a swim into the sea.

The area

The Costa Smeralda is a coast of particular beauty – turquoise coves framed by granite rocks of weird shapes, white beaches and green hills covered with dense vegetation. Many beautiful beaches can be found in the surroundings of Lu Postu, such as Cala dei Ginepri, which is just a short drive from the house. The nearest restaurants are at 2 km. Other restaurants, bars and supermarkets can be found at the the villages of a Cannigione and Baia Sardinia which are at 5 km from Lu Postu.Costa Smeralda offers plenty of entertainment, glamorous villages like Porto Cervo and Porto Rotondo become the playground for stars and starlets during the summer months and the bars and discos are among the most exclusive ones of entire Italy. Therefore it is just a short drive from the profound peace of the natural landscape of Lu Postu right into the heart of the vibrant night-life of the rich and famous.
