Appartamento Gioia is a modern apartment for couples or families who value comfort whilst wishing to experience authentic Sardinia. You’ll be staying in the traditional village of Irgoli, with views of the mountains of the hinterland and within easy reach of the beautiful sandy beaches of the Gulf of Orosei. Particularly appealing is the combination of a large communal pool in the garden and your own hot tub, where you can wind down at the end of the day. Whilst the children are still splashing about in the water, the adults can enjoy a glass of wine in their own pavilion by the pool – all the while keeping an eye on everything.

Apartment with communal pool and private jacuzzi

Appartamento Gioia is situated on the second floor of an exclusive house comprising a total of three holiday apartments – nestled in a quiet residential area of Irgoli. The owners live in a granny flat in the basement and leave the pool and grounds entirely to the guests. Spanning around 75 square metres, a brightly designed home in a playful shabby-chic style awaits you: cheerful colours, plenty of natural light and a private balcony with picturesque views of the mountains and the pool create a welcoming atmosphere right from the start.

Two comfortable bedrooms with double beds can accommodate up to four people, complemented by a modern bathroom with shower and toilet. The fully equipped, separate kitchen leaves nothing to be desired: with a hob, oven, large fridge, dishwasher and plenty of crockery and cooking utensils, everything is provided – whether for a relaxed breakfast or a hearty dinner with the whole family.

Air conditioning (with heating function), Wi-Fi and a TV with satellite reception ensure modern living comfort all year round.

The heart of the complex is the spacious communal pool, shared by all three apartments. Each unit has its own pavilion right by the pool – ideal for a cosy breakfast or balmy evenings under the Sardinian starry sky. As a special highlight, each apartment also has its own private jacuzzi. Sun loungers, a shared barbecue area and an outdoor shower complete the facilities for a thoroughly relaxing holiday.

The Surroundings

Irgoli is located around a 15-minute drive from the expansive sandy beach of Marina di Orosei, with crystal-clear water, well-suited for families who appreciate space and easy access to the sea. A short drive will also take you to Sas Linnas Siccas, Cala Ginepro and Cala Liberotto (each about 20–25 minutes by car), all of which are beautiful bathing bays with gently sloping shores and pine forests in the background. If you’d like to explore the spectacular coastline further south, plan a day trip by boat or car to the famous bays in the Gulf of Orosei, such as Cala Luna or Cala Mariolu.

Irgoli is a typical Sardinian village with around 2,500 inhabitants, bars, authentic restaurants, a piazza, a supermarket and other shops for daily needs. Here you can experience village life with the locals, village festivals and peaceful evening strolls through the narrow streets. The well-known neighbouring town of Orosei offers a touch of tourist charm with its historic town centre, churches, squares, ice cream parlours and restaurants – ideal for an evening stroll with the whole family.

For day trips, the nuraghe and shepherd’s village of Tiscali in the Supramonte, the impressive Gorroppu Gorge or panoramic tours along the coast are all excellent options. Culture enthusiasts can visit museums and archaeological sites in the surrounding area, whilst active holidaymakers can combine hiking, climbing or boat trips with stops for a swim. In this way, Appartamento Gioia combines the peaceful village life of Irgoli with the diversity of the east coast.
